Friendly face indeed and a facies as well (a face that speaks). The facial morphology (shape and proportions) suggests a relationship with Down syndrome. Afflicted individuals are known to be very friendly but this is not the reason for this presentation. The reason is that the deep facial lines, grooves or furrows, may be signs that signal a relationship with the water content of the soft tissues of the face.
