Light illuminating dark corners is the task of Apollo (the "enlightener") but ... the truth may be cruel. "Naked truth", in many languages, implies "un-adorned" - naked persons have a sense of a loss of protection referred to as "modesty" associated with discomfort, shame, etc. but ... children, being innocent, are not naked but nude - so are patients confronting a clever clinician. Nudity, as in "nudism" is not associated with discomfort but rather with "natural". On the other hand, merchants exploit "nakedness" of attractive females since they know that "sex sells".
