Note: at the time, Athens was a small village and Naufplio (Nauplia) became the capital of the First Hellenic Republic followed by the Kingdom of Greece (the "Great Powers" rejected the name Hellenic and imposed the term "Greek" to avoid offending the Turkish rulers where, at the time, most of the Hellen people were residing.)
