MIHRIMAH SULTAN, DAUGHTER OF SULEIMAN THE MAGNIFICENT AND HURREM SULTAN

"Gameria figlia (daughter) di Solimano il Magnifico (Suleiman the Magnificent)" (see related A | B), 1587 Cristofano dell'Altissimo (c. 1525-1605) Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Tuscany, Italy

Perhaps, the artistic rendition minimized unfavorable facial features - the paternal nose was most prominent (see related image) and hers is delicately shown with a suggestion that it may be larger than usual - nasal morphology is highly heritable.

Note that the same may apply to portraits of the Habsburg clan members, Napoleon, etc. In contrast, Imperial Roman art is realistic to the point of being unflattering even when concerning Emperors.
